Welcome to Zuppykart. We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance across our digital quick-commerce network. In strict accordance with the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations and the FSSAI E-Commerce Guidelines, this page outlines our compliance framework, licensing details, and operational policies.

1. Platform Licensing Details

Zuppykart operates as an E-Commerce Food Business Operator (FBO) marketplace platform under the rules established by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

2. Seller and Vendor Compliance Mandates

As an intermediary e-commerce marketplace platform, Zuppykart enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding food safety compliance for all onboarded merchants:

  • FSSAI Number Display: The specific FSSAI license/registration number of the respective seller or brand owner is prominently displayed on the merchant profile page and individual product listings before a customer concludes a purchase.

3. Product Display & Mandatory Pre-Purchase Declarations

To enable informed consumer choices, Zuppykart ensures that the following mandatory product details provided by the manufacturers/sellers are visible to users prior to purchase:

  • Principal Display Panel (PDP): Clear digital images of the product packaging showing the ingredients list, nutritional information, net weight, and country of origin.
  • Dietary Identifiers: Legible and clear displays of the mandatory green dot (Vegetarian) or brown triangle (Non-Vegetarian) symbols on all relevant food items.
  • Shelf-Life Policy: In compliance with FSSAI directives, Zuppykart enforces inventory checks ensuring that no pre-packaged food product is delivered to a consumer with less than 30% of its shelf life remaining, or fewer than 45 days prior to its expiry date (whichever is applicable).

4. Supply Chain Hygiene & Last-Mile Delivery

Zuppykart takes meticulous care to safeguard food quality during transit:
